Tour operators to consolidate regional branding

Representatives of the tourism industry met in Guatemala under the framework of the II Central American Encounter of Tour Operators, to implement an in depth study of each of the geographic destinations and define strategic business alliances.

One of the topics most discussed was the promotion of multi-destination packages within a concept of a “Colonial and Volcano Route”, shared by all the countries of the isthmus.

The Encounter was sponsored by the Guatemalan Association of Receptive Tour Operators – Asoptur – with the participation of the Central American Federation of Chambers of Tourism – Fedecatur -, the Central American Secretariat for Integration, the Guatemala Institute of Tourism – INGUAT - and Grupo TACA.
