The Ministry of Tourism and ISTU lay cornerstone at Malecon in Apulo Resort
Minister of Tourism, Mr. José Napoleón Duarte Duran, Executive Director of ISTU, Ms. Dolores Henriquez de Funes, Industrias La Constancia Vice President, Mr. Carlos Bonilla, Mayor of the Municipality of Ilopango, Dra. Alba Elizabeth Márquez and Blanca Coto from the Secretary of the Committee on Tourism, Youth and Sport of the Legislative Assembly, laid the cornerstone of the proposed reconstruction of the Pier in Apulo Resort.
The redevelopment of the Aquatic Park aims to renew its infrastructure to provide hikers and national and international visitors an atmosphere of healthy recreation and amusement.
According to the head of the Department, Mr. José Napoleón Duarte Duran, El Salvador must be at the forefront, offering tourists, domestic and foreign, different options that meet quality standards, therefore the importance of preparing with new infrastructure, with promotion and marketing strategies to attract different niche markets to which we wish to bet in the Plan.

The project includes the construction of a parking picnic areas, patterned floors, remodeled main entrance, construction of ramps for disabled accessibility, remodeling the Pier area, restoration of the lighthouse and pier construction, among others, as expected to benefit over 800 fishermen from 4 Agricultural Cooperative Fisheries, devoted to the work of fishing boats and give rides to tourists visiting the area, both works stand out as one of the main items of the area.
For his part, Vice President of Industrias La Constancia, Mr. Jose Carlos Bonilla said that within its Corporate Social Responsibility projects "Industrias La Constancia join family recreation of the Salvadoran people by donating $ 80,000 to remodel the park Apulo.

During remodeling the Apulo Resort will not be closed to the public benefit as a 32 picnic park area, which depends on the trade item. Furthermore, the Project will provide about 200 direct jobs direct jobs from about 600.
